From the missions team:
Our team is in the beginning stages of its church planting efforts among the “K” people, deep in the Amazon Jungle. The realities of a larger team (two new families joining a single missionary) necessitated a move next to a much more populous village. We have already begun building/planning our houses and we hope to be all moved in by June 2025. Where the Lord has permitted that we move, however, there is no clean water, so a water well is a huge need.
Presenting the “K” people with the Gospel as well as discipling the church to maturity, means that we’re there for the long haul. To best focus on the ministry with which the Lord has entrusted us, we must balance having conveniences with living simply. Potable water is our last big need. Just as Jesus told the Samaritan woman, the water that he gives wells up to eternal life. While we still need physical water to drink, our prayer is that the “K” people would drink of the true water that Jesus offers.
