Two wells have been dug in this community in the passed but none are currently providing water. We would like to recover the well and rebuild the water distribution system so that this small road community in Amapá can have potable water. Currently they walk about a quarter mile to a creek as their only source of water. The creeks in this region are subject to bacterial, viral, and heavy metal contamination.
Since this is a larger community in the region a solar well pump and multiple distribution points will be necessary.
